I haven’t missed one yet and am ready to go again at 54 years old! Jeff Great Falls,Montana
WOW! It is stunning to learn of this project and the fact of a DVD coming out later this year. Aber Day Keggers were THE big event while I was there ~ attended four. Still have some pictures and a poster or two around here somewhere. Long story, but ended up injured, then in jail, after a car backed into us in the parking area. None of us got upset except the sheriffs directing traffic. Music, dust, music, friends, music, beer, and more beer.
GREAT memories.

To think this all start out as a community project for a sociology class! Yes, we got A’s for pulling it off and raising seed money for the UM Library.
Addition to first email. First Aber Day Kegger – Founding committee.
Went in 79 with a friend from Superior MT. I remember beer, the sheriffs officers on horseback up on the edge of the bowl but never coming down into the party. Lost my friend immediately but made new ones. God, I didn’t even remember who played until I found this sight! Made it home. Woke up and found Three people who I didn’t know on my floor.
What a great idea. The music was so wonderful. Remember, Jimmy Buffet even wrote a song about being in Missoula after his performance here in 1976(?)(on his Changes in Latitutes” album.
I cherish several posters from the events–especially the Monte Dolack one featuring my pal, Alexis in all her glory!!!
For us in Montana this is more exciting than the documentary on Woodstock! I would like to be on the list to order the DVD.
now I’ll be tuned..
I skydived into the 1976 Aber Day keggar. My first time. Remarkable!!
If there were photos that would be special…
